Srinagar, Nov 21 : Deputy Accountant General, AG Office Srinagar, Pawan Kumar Rathi on Friday said that the department had invited treasury officers, DDOs and pensioners to address their grievances and highlight key issues in accounting during the ongoing Audit Week 17–27 Nov.

Talking to reporters as per KNS, he said the Audit Divas workshop focused on DDOs, treasuries and pension authorities, with dedicated sessions on accounting reconciliation and digitalisation at the office of the Principal Accountant General, J&K, Srinagar.

He added that the department is conducting a series of activities including a blood donation camp, cleanliness drives, social outreach programmes and painting competitions for specially-abled children.

Multiple pension courts have also been organised in Anantnag, Jammu and Ramban to resolve pending cases.

Rathi emphasized that the aim is to provide efficient, citizen-centric services to ensure pension cases remain settled and disbursed on time.

He noted that the newly launched pension portal, operational since May, is helping bring all state pension cases online, with a target of settling each case within 20 days.(KNS)
