Retired Master Shabir Ahmad Wani passes away

Sogam, June 7: Retired Master Shabir Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Rasool Wani of Sogam Lolab passed away on Sunday following a brief illness. He was a retired master by profession.

Family members said the Nimaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayers) will be offered after Magrib prayers (8:30 pm) in his ancestral village in Sogam.

Meanwhile, political, social and religious leaders have condoled his demise.

Kashmir News Service (KNS) Editor-in-chief Mohd Aslam expressed deep grief over the death. 

In a detailed condolence message, Aslam described the late Wani as a disciplined educator who dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge and remained a humble guide for his community. 

He prayed for peace to the departed soul and beseeched the Almighty to grant the bereaved family the strength to bear this irreparable loss. (KNS)
