Class timings adjusted due to heat; applies to government and recognized private schools

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Thursday announced summer vacation for all government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir division from July 1 to July 10.

Srinagar, June 19 : The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Thursday announced summer vacation for all government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir division from July 1 to July 10.

Quoting News Agency KNS reported that, Director School Education Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Itoo, said the decision has been taken in view of the rising temperatures across the region.

Prior to the vacation, revised school timings will be in effect from saturday due to the heat wave. Within Srinagar Municipal limits: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Outside Srinagar Municipal limits: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM

“These changes have been made keeping in view the ongoing heatwave weather conditions,” Itoo said.(KNS).
