Srinagar ,Dec 23 : In recognition of their outstanding achievements on the international and national stage, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, felicitated Rollball World Cup gold medallists Suvidha Sareen and Hiteshwar Singh, who have brought laurels to J&K through their consistent excellence in Rollball and allied roller sports disciplines.

Suvidha Sareen, a J&K State Awardee, has established herself as one of the most accomplished women Rollball players from the region. She has represented India at multiple international events, including the 5th Rollball World Cup (2019) where she secured a silver medal, and the 3rd Asian Rollball Championship (2019) where she won gold.

At the national level, she has been a consistent medal winner, securing gold, silver and bronze medals in several Senior National Rollball Championships and Federation Cup events, reflecting her sustained performance and dedication to the sport.

Hiteshwar Singh has been a prominent name in roller sports, having represented India and J&K in Inline Hockey and Roller Skating Championships at national and international levels. He has competed in the Inline Hockey World Championships and multiple National Roller Skating Championships, including a bronze medal finish in Inline Hockey at the 59th National Roller Skating Championship. His versatility and long-standing contribution have made him one of the most consistent performers from the region.

While felicitating the athletes, Secretary, J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gul, congratulated both players for their remarkable journey and achievements. She stated that their success reflects the growing sporting culture in J&K and serves as a source of inspiration for young athletes.

She further emphasized that the J&K Government remains committed to nurturing talent, strengthening infrastructure and providing competitive exposure to ensure athletes from the region continue to excel at national and international platforms.(KNS)
