Srinagar, Mar 21 : Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Dr. Sandeep Chakravarthy on Saturday extended Eid greetings to the residents of Srinagar and said that the police have made elaborate security arrangements to ensure peaceful celebrations across the city.
Talking to media as per KNS correspondent, SSP Srinagar said that Srinagar Police is fully committed to ensuring that people celebrate Eid in a peaceful and safe environment. He appealed to the public to cooperate with the security forces and celebrate the festival responsibly.
He said that it is a tradition of Srinagar Police to distribute sweets on festivals such as Eid, Shivratri and Gurpurab to promote communal harmony and brotherhood, adding that such gestures carry a positive message of unity among the people.
SSP Srinagar reiterated that the police department is working to facilitate smooth celebrations and urged citizens to extend their cooperation to the civil administration and police for maintaining law and order during the festival.(KNS)
