Jammu, Sep 24 : The three-day exhibition on New Criminal Laws concluded in Jammu on Wednesday, with M.Y. Kichloo-IPS adjudged as the overall best performer.

The exhibition, inaugurated by DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat-IPS, featured 17 stalls from various wings, including district police, FSL, Cyber Police Station Jammu, Women Police, Fingerprint Bureau, EOW, SCW, ANTF, and the Prosecution Branch. Thousands of visitors attended, gaining awareness about the functioning of different police units.

The DGP appreciated all stalls but singled out the stall presented by the Cybercrime Investigation Centre for Excellence (CICE), headed by M.Y. Kichloo-IPS, as the best in terms of presentation, technological facilities, awareness, and arrangements. The CICE stall attracted the maximum public and student footfall, explaining the centre’s functioning, complaint registration portals, and the 1930 helpline

During the exhibition, a CybHer help desk exclusively for women was inaugurated by DGP J&K in the presence of senior officers, including ADGP Armed Anand Jain-IPS, IGP Jammu Bhim Sen Tuti, IGP Crime Branch Sujeet Kumar-IPS, DIG Doda Jammu, and other officials.

At the conclusion, Sujeet Kumar-IPS, IGP Crime Branch J&K, presented the overall best presentation and performance award to M.Y. Kichloo-IPS for outstanding work. DGP J&K in his address described the CICE stall as “worth visiting” for redressal of cybercrime-related queries.

The exhibition highlighted the importance of public awareness in combating cybercrime and familiarised citizens with the latest legal provisions and technological facilities.(KNS).
