Srinagar, Aug 12 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday lauded the security forces for avenging the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians.

Speaking at the Tiranga Yatra in Srinagar, Sinha paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom and security.

“I salute those who freed us from imperial colonialism and the armed forces and police who avenged the Pahalgam attack. Our duty is to protect their hopes and aspirations,” as per KNS he said.

Highlighting the growing participation in the Tiranga Yatra over the past five years, Sinha said the event holds special significance as it aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

He said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, launched on August 2, had witnessed an overwhelming response from the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

“We have resolved to live for the tricolour and, if needed, lay down our lives for its honour,” he added, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for working tirelessly to fulfil the aspirations of J&K’s youth.(KNS)
