Srinagar, Apr 13 : The Tulip Garden Srinagar will be closed for the general public from April 16 (evening), according to an official notice issued by the Directorate of Floriculture, Gardens and Parks, Kashmir.

The garden, which was opened to visitors on March 16, will shut following recommendations of the Tulip Committee, the notice said.

The department has asked concerned authorities, including information and broadcasting agencies, to ensure wide publicity of the closure through print and electronic media.

Officials said necessary arrangements are being made to inform the public about the closing date of the garden, a major tourist attraction during the spring season.(KNS)
