Jammu, Apr 20 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed profound grief over the loss of lives and ordered a thorough investigation into the Udhampur bus incident, in which 21 lives were lost and around 32 were injured.

“We have lost many precious lives in this accident. I am very sorry about that,” CM Omar told reporters as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).

The chief minister extended his condolences to the bereaved families and said the government would ensure that the circumstances leading to the tragedy are probed.

“Now we will know why this accident happened,” he said, adding that strict action would be taken against those found responsible.

“If the government has to take any action, we will definitely take action,” CM Omar asserted. (KNS)
