Srinagar, Nov 20 : Deputy Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Arjumand Yaqoob (KAS) on Thursday said that the department has completed its winter preparedness well before the deadline, ensuring uninterrupted ration and LPG supply to people living in far-flung and border areas of Kashmir.

Talking to Kashmir News Service -KNS , Arjumand said the winter stocking plan has been executed across the entire district, with four months of ration already dumped in advance. “Our winter preparedness plan is across the district. We dump ration for four months in advance and this time we are ahead of the timeline. The last date was 31st November, but we have completed the dumping well before that,” she said.

She added that the department has also dumped LPG stocks in remote and strategic locations. “We have already ensured winter requirement stocking in Gurez, Keran, Tangdar, Machil and other border belts. This is an ongoing process and the entire Kashmir division’s 893 stations have been fully stocked.”

Assuring people of smooth supplies during harsh weather, the Deputy Director said, “Our winter preparedness is ready; people don’t need to panic. Our district officers are available 24×7. If anyone in Gurez, Keran, Tangdar or other areas faces any issue with ration or LPG, they can directly contact our concerned officers.”(KNS)
