Srinagar police wins north zone Award for mobile recovery

Srinagar, November 20 (KNS): Srinagar Police received the award for Best Performing District in the North Zone for mobile recovery through the Central Equipment Identity Register portal. The Department of Telecommunications presented the award during the Annual Security Conference for North Zone LSAs and LEAs in Himachal Pradesh.

As per KNS, the district recovered about 900 lost or stolen mobile phones valued at about ₹3.5 crores. The performance highlighted the use of technology and the steady work of the team.

SSP Srinagar, Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS, presented Certificates of Appreciation to the officers involved. The team worked under DySP Headquarters, Ms. Syed Sleet Shah. The team included Inspector Mohd Aslam, Inspector Mohd Iqbal, and Constable Yawar Majid.

The SSP praised their work and urged them to continue focusing on public service. Srinagar Police stated that it will keep improving public safety through technology driven policing.(KNS)
