Srinagar, Mar 5 : The Zabarwan Park Museum located at Boulevard in Srinagar reopened for tourists on Thursday after remaining closed for nearly five years, marking a significant step towards reviving tourism infrastructure in the region.
The museum was formally reopened in the presence of Director Tourism Syed Qamar Sajad and other officials from the Tourism Department.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the Director Tourism said that revival and restoration of tourism assets remain a top priority for the department in order to enhance visitor experience and further promote tourism in the Valley.
He said that several artefacts at the museum require upgradation and maintenance, which will be carried out in the coming days ahead of the opening of the Tulip Garden.
With the onset of the spring season, Jammu and Kashmir is expected to witness a significant increase in tourist footfall as visitors arrive to experience the natural beauty of the Valley. (KNS)
