Srinagar, Oct 21: Chief Spokesperson of the Awami Itihaad Party (AIP), Inam Un Nabi, has welcomed the announcement by Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, regarding the approval of 36 road projects under PMGSY-IV Batch-I (2025–26) for the Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency.

In a letter addressed to incarcerated MP from Baramulla, Engineer Rashid, the Union Minister informed that the approved projects would cover 136.69 kilometres of road network at an estimated cost of ₹292.33 crore, providing connectivity to 41 habitations across the constituency.

Terming the development “a reflection of Engineer Rashid’s vision for equitable rural growth,” Inam Un Nabi said the MP’s “commitment to people’s welfare continues to inspire progress in North Kashmir despite his incarceration.”

He expressed gratitude to Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for approving the projects and said the move would enhance rural connectivity, strengthen local economies, and improve livelihoods across the region.

Inam urged the Jammu and Kashmir administration to ensure timely and transparent execution of the sanctioned works so that the benefits reach the people without delay.(KNS).
