Chickenpox outbreak forces closure of Govt School in J-K’s Kunzar

Baramulla, Sep 14 : Classes at Government Middle School Khonchipora in Kunzer, Baramulla, have been suspended following an outbreak of chickenpox among students.

According to reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS), around 23 children have contracted the infection, prompting immediate action from authorities.

The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Kunzer ordered the temporary closure of the institution to prevent further spread.

Parents have been advised to remain vigilant and seek timely medical attention for their children. Health officials have also urged residents to follow precautionary measures to contain the outbreak.

Meanwhile, local residents have appealed to the health and education departments to closely monitor the situation and provide necessary medical assistance in the affected area.(KNS)
