Says Golf Authority to be reactivated through legislation

Srinagar, June 24 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that significant progress is being made on various projects in Jammu and Kashmir, including the Nao Hall and the Golf Authority.

Regarding the Nao Hall project, CM while speaking to media confirmed that the remaining Naos would be completed within the next two months. He expressed optimism about hosting a successful tournament at the end of this year and assured that necessary improvements, particularly on the greens, would be made.

According to KNS,CM said that plans are in place to organize national and international tournaments next year.

On the re-establishment of the Golf Authority, Omar Abdullah acknowledged that it had ceased to exist after 2019 but emphasized the need to revive it. He said that legislative action may be required in the Assembly to reauthorize the authority.

When asked about the Cinema Hall, Omar Abdullah clarified that the Convention Hall had already been constructed and that discussions on its optimal use were ongoing.

He expressed confidence that the implementation of the idea would move forward soon. (KNS)
