JKNC, PDP Announce Candidates for Budgam Assembly By-election

Srinagar, Oct 19 : The political contest for the Budgam Assembly seat is set to intensify as both the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have announced their candidates .

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), JKNC has fielded Agha Syed Mehmood as its official candidate for the by-election. The party leadership approved his candidature and expressed confidence in his ability to represent the people of Budgam effectively.

The PDP has nominated Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi as its candidate. Mehdi is scheduled to file his nomination papers tomorrow at 12 PM.

With both major parties naming their candidates, Budgam is expected to witness a keen electoral battle in the upcoming bypoll.(KNS)
