Srinagar, January 30: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has recognised the Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Development Front (JDF) as a political party, it said on Friday.
The recognition follows the party’s successful resubmission of its registration application in December 2025, after addressing earlier gaps in documentation, the party added.
The acknowledgment allows JDF to function legally across Jammu and Kashmir, open official bank accounts, organise events, and receive funds from supporters in a transparent manner.
Speaking to KNS, Dr Kaleem Ullah, Youth President of JDF, described the recognition as a “significant step” that will help strengthen public trust and attract new members.(KNS).
