Srinagar, Jan 30 : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday paid homage to martyrs on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, stating that their supreme sacrifice will always be a source of inspiration for future generations.

CM Omar as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation and the ideals of freedom, justice and democracy.

He said, “Their supreme sacrifices will always remain a source of inspiration for generations.”

Meanwhile, Office of Chief Minister, J&K as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) said a two-minute silence was observed at the Civil Secretariat here today to honour the martyrs.

The CM officer said that the solemn observance marks the enduring respect for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation. (KNS)
