Srinagar, Oct 1 (TKM): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, in his message on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 156th birth anniversary and extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the occasion reminds everyone to rededicate themselves to Gandhi’s ideals of peace, non-violence, truth, tolerance, compassion, and selfless service while contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

“Bapu dedicated his life to India’s freedom, social equity, and the development of villages. His idea of Swadeshi focused on making the country self-reliant and boosting local production,” the LG said.

He appealed to people to buy Swadeshi products and support local artisans and cottage industries.

“On this day, let us pledge to walk on the path of truth and non-violence, promote peace, and work for building a developed India,” Sinha added.(TKM)
