Srinagar, Oct 23 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) legislators on Thursday held a silent protest inside the J&K Legislative Assembly, demanding the release of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said the protest took place before the start of the Assembly proceedings to draw attention to Malik’s detention.

NC legislators held placards and observed a brief sit-in, urging the government to ensure Malik’s immediate release. The placards read: “Free MLA Mehraj Malik.”

Congress MLA Nizamuddin also joined the sit-in. (KNS)
