Srinagar, Oct 23 : Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Thursday expressed strong disapproval of the Kupwara district administration after the name of former Langate MLA, Muhammad Sultan Panditpori, was not included in the Assembly’s obituary references.

Taking note of the omission during the session, the Speaker said the district authorities had failed to communicate Panditpori’s demise to the Assembly Secretariat. Calling the lapse “irresponsible,” he urged officials to ensure that such oversights are not repeated in the future.(KNS)
