Over 14,500 candidates appear in J&K nursing diploma exams

Srinagar, Apr 5 : As many as 14,560 candidates on Sunday appeared in the diploma examinations in nursing and allied healthcare courses conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Nursing Council, officials said.

The examinations were held in collaboration with the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir Paramedical Council at 33 centres across the Union Territory, including 18 in Kashmir division, 14 in Jammu division and one in Ladakh, they said.

According to officials, 7,159 candidates appeared in the Kashmir division, while 7,374 candidates took the exams in the Jammu division. In Ladakh, 27 candidates appeared in the examination.

A total of 23 papers were conducted during the day.

Officials said the examinations were conducted smoothly, reflecting the councils’ efforts to maintain academic standards in nursing and allied healthcare education.(KNS)
