Srinagar, Oct 18 : Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather, on Saturday nominated eight Members of the House to the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), in accordance with Rule 317 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.
The Speaker will serve as the Chairman of the BAC. The nominated members include Sunil Kumar Sharma, Leader of Opposition; Ali Mohammad Sagar; Mubarak Gul; Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami; Ghulam Ahmad Mir; Sajad Gani Lone; Mir Mohammad Fayaz; and Choudhary Mohammad Akram.
The Business Advisory Committee is tasked with managing the legislative business of the House. Its responsibilities include scheduling discussions, allocating time for bills, and overseeing other agenda items to ensure smooth functioning of the Assembly.(KNS)
