Srinagar, Dec 20 : Minimum temperatures dropped across Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, with Pulwama recording the coldest night in the Kashmir Valley at minus 3.2 degrees Celsius, officials said.

According to data, Shopian recorded a low of minus 2.9 degrees Celsius, while Awantipora settled at minus 2.2 degrees Celsius and Pampore at minus 2.0 degrees Celsius.

Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus 0.4 degrees Celsius, while the temperature at Srinagar airport dropped to minus 1.6 degrees Celsius.

Other parts of the valley also witnessed sub-zero temperatures, with Qazigund and Pahalgam recording minus 1.0 degrees Celsius each, Kupwara minus 0.7 degrees Celsius, and Baramulla minus 1.5 degrees Celsius. Gulmarg recorded a low of 2.0 degrees Celsius.

In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded a minimum of 9.3 degrees Celsius, while Katra settled at 10.0 degrees Celsius. Banihal and Rajouri recorded lows of 3.8 degrees Celsius each.

In Ladakh, Leh recorded a minimum temperature of minus 4.2 degrees Celsius.(KNS)
