JAMMU, Feb 15 : Paying tribute to the 15th-century mystic poet, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday asserted that India’s unique ability to master both “Tech and Tradition” and “Microchip and Mantra” provides a perfect blueprint for global success in the 21st century.

Addressing the 508th Nirvan Diwas commemorative event of Sant Kabir Das at Chak Avtara in Bishnah, the LG emphasized that the nation is stepping forward to guide the world toward peace and prosperity through its rich saintly tradition and timeless values.

India’s greatest strength is its ability to master Tech and Tradition, Microchip and Mantra. Our ancient roots and digital branches, modern tools and timeless values of ancient sages are the perfect blueprint for 21st Century success and prosperity,” Sinha said.

Highlighting the global relevance of India’s philosophical heritage, the LG stressed that the mantra of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) holds unprecedented relevance today. He noted that as economic and strategic divisions deepen globally, India’s wisdom offers a vision where unity and peace can become a universal way of life.

“In the face of civilizational threats, the world will turn to India for grounding,” he asserted.

The Lieutenant Governor urged the people to harness the power of Sant Kabir’s teachings for societal transformation. He called Sant Kabir’s eternal wisdom a guiding light that paves a brighter path for society, deepening unity while forging both spiritual and material triumphs for the nation.

He also made a fervent appeal to all sections of society to discharge their shared duty to eliminate economic gaps and social divisions, urging everyone to embrace inclusivity and constitutional values to achieve true harmony.

“The legacy and philosophy of Sant Kabir is shining brightest today, awakening society’s inner soul,” Sinha said.

On the occasion, the LG responded to several demands put forth by the community. He reiterated the commitment of the Government of India to resolve the issues pertaining to reservation in promotion and also assured them of considering the demand for a gazetted holiday on Sant Kabir Jayanti in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The event at Shiromani Sant Kabir Bhavan was attended by MLA Bishnah Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, Chairman of the Bhavan Faqir Chand Bhagat, and senior officials, along with a large number of prominent citizens and people from various walks of life. (KNS)
