Three JKAS officers reshuffled; Qamar Sajad to head Tourism Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 27 : The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Thursday ordered a minor reshuffle in the civil services, assigning three officers to new positions, including the appointment of Syed Qamar Sajad as the Director of Tourism Kashmir.

An official communication issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) said that Pankaj Magotra, JKAS, who had been awaiting posting in the department, has now been placed as Director, Command Area Development, Jammu, filling an existing vacancy.

As part of the same order, Syed Qamar Sajad, JKAS, presently serving as Managing Director of the J&K Cable Car Corporation, has been designated Director Tourism, Kashmir. He has also been instructed to continue holding additional charge of the Cable Car Corporation until further directions.

In a separate notification — numbered 1554-JK(GAD) of 2025 and issued with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor — Vidhu Shekhar, IAS (AGMUT: 2021), who was also awaiting placement in the GAD, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, again against an available slot.(KNS).
