Srinagar, July 15 : Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party President  Altaf Bukhari on Saturday paid rich tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), his family, and his companions on the solemn occasion of Youm-e-Ashura, emphasizing the timeless message of sacrifice, courage, and standing against tyranny.

In a statement issued to KNS, Bukhari said the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his loyal companions in the Battle of Karbala more than 1,400 years ago continues to serve as an enduring symbol of resistance against injustice and oppression.
“Youm-e-Ashura reminds us how Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), along with his family and companions, chose martyrdom rather than surrendering to the forces of tyranny,” Bukhari said.

He added that Imam-e-Aali Maqam (AS) taught humanity the ultimate lesson of dignity and truth by refusing to bow before the oppressors, even at the cost of life. “The legacy of Karbala inspires us to always uphold justice, speak truth to power, and never remain silent in the face of oppression,” he said.

Bukhari urged people, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from the teachings of Imam Hussain (AS) and strive for a just and compassionate society.(KNS).
