Srinagar, Jan 31 : Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Director General Dr. G. P. Singh on Saturday said the force is fully prepared and maintains the highest state of operational readiness in the Kashmir Valley.
The DG, during his two-day visit to the valley, chaired high-level security review meetings and took stock of the functioning of the advanced Command and Control Centre at the Srinagar Sector Headquarters, officials told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
Sources said DG undertook a detailed assessment of the security scenario and the force’s operational preparedness across key installations in the summer capital.
He also conducted a comprehensive review of security deployments and operational readiness in the Kashmir Valley, sources added.
Addressing a Sainik Sammelan during his interaction with troops at the Group Centre and the 44th Battalion, the DG commended the jawans for their steadfast dedication and service to the nation.
“The nation is proud of the valour and sacrifice of our personnel,” Singh said.
He assured the troops that the force is committed to their welfare and listened to their concerns, the officials mentioned.
The DG emphasised the CRPF’s robust security apparatus and its focused strategy to ensure peace and stability in the Kashmir valley. (KNS)
